ORION-GS - official representative of ELSTER Honeywell in Moldova.

Founded in 1998, ORION-GS started its activity in the field of trading of measuring instruments - electric meters, gas and water meters.

The company was initiated by Baraboi Gheorghe for a different purpose, but later, it was taken over by a family couple, Ceh Lucia and Ceh Vitalie, who had the desire, education, studies and courage to try their luck, in the domain of business, all along the family. Why not?

Following these changes, since 1999, ORION-GS has become an official representative of Honeywell ELSTER in the Republic of Moldova. (ex ELSTER GmbH, Germany) During 25 years of activation on the Moldovan market, we specialized in the import and marketing of Elster Group production instruments, in particular:

• membrane gas counters

• low, medium and high pressure regulators

• rotary piston gas counters

• turbine gas counters

• volume correction type T, PTZ

What about Elster Group?

Elster Group traces its roots to the earliest days of the metering industry. Elster American Meter was founded in New York in 1836 and was an early producer of gas meters in the United States. In Europe, the company’s history also dates back to the nineteenth century, when Elster Meters and Elster Kromschröder were founded in 1848 and 1865 respectively, in Berlin and Osnabrueck .

In 2015 Elster Group was acquired by Honeywell.

Now Elster Group is a world leader in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), integrated measurements and solutions for use in the gas, electricity and water industry. The high quality of Elster's products, services, and solutions reflects the wealth of knowledge and experience accumulated over 170 years dedicated to resource consumption accuracy measurements. With AMI solutions from Elster, it allows vital energy suppliers of gas, electricity and water resources to manage and maintain a good cost-effective level. “Orion-GS” is the first to start an innovative pilot project in 2012 for the moldovan market - a gas meter with Chekker system, which can reliably verify the meter's consumption data from any place.

Futhermore, in 2017, “Orion-GS” started a new major project for the local market - SMART gas meters. Thanks to the innovative perspective and vision of the Honeywell Elster Group, these modern gas meter concept, with smart diaphragm devices BK-G4ETe and BK-G6ET - have emerged, both for the residential and commercial sectors. Counters combine two very important functions: gas measurement with temperature compensation and wireless data transmission. The temperature measurement is carried out by means of a digital temperature sensor installed inside the measuring box, and the data transmission is performed using a GPRS modem integrated into the counting head.

Since 2019 ORION-GS has also begun working with WIKA, a manufacturer of a wide range of manometers and other measuring instruments.
